Photos did not do justice to Crater Lake, of which I had not heard before. Looking up “calderon”. Shorter Oxford gives “caldera” = cavity of extinct volcano. Thanks for the new word!

Comment on Day 4 – Mill Valley, CA to Mill Valley, CA via San Francisco, CA. 37 Miles by admin https://bradsbiketours.com/day-4-mill-valley-ca-to-mill-valley-ca-via-san-francisco-ca-37-miles/#comment-248 Tue, 20 Aug 2019 02:24:14 +0000 https://bradsbiketours.com/?p=2756#comment-248 In reply to Des Levin.

According to the post, D&D are: “About 6 years ago we met David at a convention somewhere in the USA (I think it was Omaha, Nebraska). We subsequently met Davids better half, Dana, and they stayed with us in Halifax in about 2015 on a visit from their home in San Francisco. When Ben and Jemima toured the West Coast later that same year, they stayed with various friends and family, including a stint with Dave and Dana, and their large cat collection.”

They are both authors – we know Dave through his non-fiction work, but they also both write fiction, with Dana a recognised Fantasy genre writer, and a joint set of fantasy novels co-written by both.

You’d think it’s an arctic expedition! We enjoy cask strength malts (slowly, and with due respect for their potency ). I must definitely follow in your footsteps sir and get to Caol Ila. Your tasting notes had me salivating with delight !
